Designed specifically to work with Apple's iPod and iPhone, WowWee's cinemin swivel iphone 6 pico projector can display iPod videos and movies or digicam snapshots on the ceiling. You can point any handheld pico projector upward, of course, but the Cinemin Swivel allows you to do so without requiring handholding.
Powered by Texas Instruments' DLP projection technology, the cinemin swivel iphone 6 delivers a surprisingly bright and sharp picture at a relatively small size. It measures 0.9 by 2.1 by 4.7 inches (HWD) and weighs just 6 ounces, making it one of the smaller and lighter handheld projectors we've tested, even when you add in its battery.
In our tests, the Cinemin Swivel was able to project a viewable 29-inch diagonal image from 4 feet away in low ambient daylight and a 45-inch image from 6 feet away at night. Its brightness rating of 8 ANSI lumens is among the lowest we've seen, but it's more than sufficient for most home theater applications.
Other welcome features include a speaker, a swivel mount that lets you tilt and adjust the position of the projected image, and a rechargeable battery with a two-hour battery life for watching movies. This is significantly longer than the duration of most other handheld projectors. The focus control also works well, with smooth and sure control.
One of the best features, though, is an audio output jack that lets you plug in a headset for private movie-watching or presentations. This is a rarity among pocket projectors, which typically have only a tiny built-in speaker that can easily get drowned out by ambient noise at top volume.
