Toshiba Satellite C55-C5268 Review

Toshiba Satellite C55-C5268 is a solid and reliable laptop that’s well-suited for home users and students who need to use office productivity software like MS Word/Excel, web browsing and emailing, watching videos and listening to music. But it’s not a good choice for those who want to play latest games, install itunes and do other heavy computing tasks. If you are planning to do that, then it would be better to consider a laptop with higher processing power like toshiba s55t-b5152.

Powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Pentium N3700 processor with 8GB of RAM, this Toshiba computer has enough speed and storage to handle most tasks. It has a 15.6-inch display and a brushed black, textured resin case. It’s not the thinnest or lightest laptop around, but it’s still quite manageable at 4.8 pounds and packs a lot of visual power for its price range.

The screen isn’t the sharpest or brightest, but it’s more than adequate for working and streaming video. And the battery, at almost nine hours and 20 minutes in our test, is impressively long.

If you’re not using the laptop, it’s best to remove the replacement battery and keep it in an antistatic bag in a cool, dry place. It’s also important to fully charge or discharge the battery at least once a month. This will help extend its life. Also, avoid blocking or overheating the vents as this can shorten the battery’s life.
