Toshiba Satellite C55-C5268 Review

The Toshiba Satellite C55-C5268 is a no-frills notebook that gets the job done and offers decent benchmark scores. Especially considering the price, this is an excellent computer. It would perform even better if you swapped out the conventional hard drive for an SSD, though.

The design of this laptop is unobtrusive and elegant, with a matte black surface that resists fingerprints well and isn’t too slippery. The plastic casing feels sturdy and well-made, although it’s not very stiff in the open position.

Unfortunately, the notebook does not come with a DVD/BD reader, which could have been a useful addition in a home media center. Nonetheless, the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 offers good performance and the notebook has multiple USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports as well as an HDMI port. The Optical Disc Drive (ODD) is M-DISC ready, making it easy to transfer your digital memories onto long-lasting optical disks.

In our WLAN browsing test, the laptop lasted for 6 hours and 7 minutes before shutting down, which is quite remarkable given its low price. This impressive runtime is partly due to the relatively low power consumption rates.

Overall, the toshiba satellite c55-c5268 review is an inexpensive and reliable notebook with a solid CPU, adequate RAM, and plenty of storage space. The only drawback is the not very sharp display, which is a minor annoyance when working on this computer. This laptop is a great choice for home users, students, and people who aren’t looking to play the latest games on their device.
