The Epson WF-4630 Review

With a maximum ISO print speed of 20 pages per minute for monochrome and color, the Epson Workforce Pro WF-4630 is a robust all-in-one printer that also scans and faxes. The machine uses four-color, DURABrite Ultra pigment ink cartridges that have a low drop size of 2.8 picoliters to produce prints with high detail and vivid colors. It includes starter cartridges that print about 1,000 black and 1,500 color pages, which is generous compared to some manufacturers’ products that offer only a few hundred pages with their starters.

The wf-4630 review is built with business in mind and has plenty of features for workgroups. It has a 30,000-page monthly duty cycle, auto 2-sided printing and supports wireless printing from tablets and smartphones. It can even work directly from the cloud to scan and send documents via email. A 35-page auto document feeder and a 3.5-inch color touchscreen round out the feature set.

In CNET’s tests of print performance, the wf-4630 was able to print JPEG photos and Word documents with impressive speeds. More complex print jobs took a little longer, but the printer was still able to crank out text and color graphics at an acceptable rate.

The wf-4630’s output quality is very good for an inkjet, with razor-sharp text and excellent focus on the edges of monochrome graphics. The printer’s only big weakness is its slow throughput performance, which may be a problem if you’re counting on the device for heavy, time-critical workloads.
