If you’re in the market for a new gaming headset, you have a lot of options. There are dozens of great headsets that sound fantastic, are comfortable to wear, and have top-notch software support. Two of those headsets, however, stand out in a big way: the Astro A50 and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless.
Both headsets are great in their own right, but one of them does offer a few extra perks that might make it a better choice for some gamers. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro has a more sleek design and comes with a charging station that offers up to 50 hours of playtime on a single charge. It also has a feature called ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) that can help block out ambient noise so you can focus on the game you’re playing.
It’s important to note, though, that the SteelSeries Arctis Nova has a slightly higher price tag than the Astro A50. So, if you’re on a tight budget, the Astro A50 may be a better option for you.
The audio on the Astro A50 is excellent, too. It has plenty of bass, which is perfect for kick drums in music and gunshots in games. It also has a balanced mid-range that’s great for voices and instruments. The only downside to the sound quality on this headset is that it pushes the high frequencies a bit, which can cause them to sound shrill and can take away from the natural sounding of the headset.
