Star Wars Battlefront 2 Resurrection Review

Resurrection is an epilogue chapter for star wars battlefront 2 that is a free addition to the main game. It builds on the character development established throughout the original game and fills in a bit of backstory.

After finishing the final mission in the main campaign, Inferno, players will receive a message from the Resistance leader General Leia Organa asking for help from the Resistance allies scattered across the galaxy. To do so, you’ll need to complete the three missions in this expansion. They can be accessed through the campaign menu via the tab that says “Resurrection.”

The first of these new missions is Discoveries, which takes place in an X-Wing near the planet Athulla. You’ll be asked to take down some Human Traffickers and uncover the details of a First Order project known as “Project Resurrection.” This project entails kidnapping children from impoverished planets like Pillio and Athulla, training them in contained environments, and deploying them as stormtroopers for the First Order. FN2187, more commonly known as Finn from the sequel trilogy, was a victim of this program.

Iden Versio subsequently meets up with an old friend and fellow Rebellion veteran, Shriv, who now works under General Leia in the Resistance. Together, they investigate the details of this project and uncover a conspiracy that directly intersects with the timeline of The Last Jedi.

It’s a tense and interesting story that delivers all the Star Wars beats you would expect from a story told through this videogame. However, it could have used a bit more time to develop the ongoing conflict between Iden and Hask. Also, I’d have loved to see a little more backstory on the relationship between Del and Iden and why it ended up the way it did.
