The SpongeBob SquarePants series is one of the most popular cartoons on TV, and the adventures of the title character and his friends in Bikini Bottom have made them very famous with kids and adults alike. The show is very detailed and often focuses on the personality of each character, with each house having its own unique backstory and vibe that reflects the personality of the characters. Some of these houses include Patrick Star’s home under a rock, Squidward Tentacles’ garden, and the most interesting, the pineapple, where SpongeBob lives.
The idea for the pineapple came from creator Stephen Hillenburg, who wanted to make sure that the character had a place that matched his quirks and adorable weirdness. He also decided that a pineapple would match the bright, colorful world of Bikini Bottom, which was inspired by Polynesian culture.
