With ultra-detailed textures, a plethora of dragons to slay and a vast landscape that defies even the most stoic tree, Skyrim is one of the most beautiful games available for your PC. However, like any vanilla game, Skyrim has a lot of issues. Fortunately, it has one of the largest modding scenes around and a ton of creators have dedicated themselves to fixing its problems. One of those is skyrim post process injector, a simple program that helps enhance the anti-aliasing in the vanilla game while also adding a ton of other effects.
This particular mod is a little different from the others we've featured before, as it focuses on enhancing Skyrim's visuals with a series of sliders and toggles. Designed by a member of the Nexus community, known as "Some_Dude," the program lets you enable a ton of effects including bloom, sharpen, technicolor, sepia, tonemap and vignette with minimal performance impact.
You can also mess around with the passage of time, extending days and nights to soak in the atmosphere or speeding them up so you can spend more time slaying dragons. Check out the gallery above for a closer look and then head over to the Nexus to give it a try yourself! Note: Some of the screenshots are NSFW. Please be aware of this before using them in public.
