Silverstone has been making computer cases for a while and the company’s products vary in design and purpose. Some of its recent offerings have taken a different approach to cable management.
The MM01 features a rear panel that looks like a vent and is designed to deflect water splashes and liquid spills. It also uses a removable HEPA filter behind the panel. This makes it a very dust-proof case as well.
On the front, there is a large side window which allows you to show off your components. The windows are made of tempered glass and the frame is metal which is an improvement over other cases with plastic frames. This helps the case look premium and the steel also provides excellent cooling as it is a great conductor of heat.
Inside, the case is built for mATX and m-ITX motherboards and has plenty of room to accommodate high-end graphics cards, tall CPU coolers and up to 360 mm radiators. There is also plenty of space for storage with seven standard expansion slots, two 3.5-inch drive bays and a 2.5-inch SSD slot.
The case is built primarily from metal with some plastic and is quite thick and sturdy. It also features sound dampening materials such as EVA and bitumen on the steel side panels, front panel and a small section of the case floor. Only having two 3.5-inch drives is a letdown though and the lack of an integrated fan hub/controller is a bit surprising. Despite these drawbacks, the case is worth looking at especially for its price.
