From insane heist missions to devastating car battles to jaw dropping set piece moments Need for Speed Payback delivers an edge-of-your-seat action driving fantasy. Fueled by a gripping story of betrayal and revenge, this is the most explosive Need for Speed yet.
The latest installment in the Need for Speed series, released earlier this year, is currently on sale at retailers around the country this Black Friday. At Best Buy and Target, you can pick up EA's new racing title for just $35 - $30 cheaper than the game usually costs at both stores.
You can also find Need for Speed Payback on sale this Black Friday online at both the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. Both retailers have the digital version of the game on sale for $36 this week, which is $30 cheaper than the regular price. If you're an Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus subscriber, you can even grab Need for Speed Payback early starting tomorrow.
In Need for Speed Payback, you play as Tyler Morgan a former street racer double-crossed by The House a nefarious cartel that controls Fortune Valley's casinos, criminals and cops. You'll have to rebuild your crew and win a series of incredibly fast, high stakes events in this blockbuster open world to get your revenge.
Most racing games work like this: you race cars and earn money, then use that money to either buy more expensive cars or upgrade your current one with a new engine, better tires, a lighter-weight frame, etc. But Need for Speed Payback ditches under-the-hood customization entirely in favor of a loot box system that doles out car parts at a rate that feels about as quick as running old races again and again.
