Lenovo Yoga 2 11 - 59445810 Review

Lenovo’s Yoga line of 2-in-1 laptop-tablet hybrids is designed for versatility and portability. And the yoga 2 11 - 59445810 delivers on both fronts. The latest version is a slim, light and affordable ultraportable that offers the flexibility of tablet, tent and stand modes in a familiar clamshell laptop design. It's also one of the few notebooks around to offer an IPS screen in this price range, although its 1,366x768 resolution falls short of the higher resolution that's now found on other budget laptops and tablets.

The Yoga's thin aluminum chassis feels solid and looks nice, although the belly of the notebook's lid and base is made of a less-premium type of plastic that's not quite as rubbery or smudge-resistant as the outer shell on other ThinkPad and Dell laptops. But the notebook's keyboard feels well-made and the display flexes only marginally when you touch it.

Its Pentium N3520 CPU isn't the most powerful on the market, but it can handle light productivity tasks, such as streaming an episode of Young Justice while working with six open web browser tabs and an online backup program. It ran the PCMark7 benchmark test in just over four hours, which is below the average for a mainstream laptop but not bad considering the modest price. A version with a Core i-series CPU would likely be faster, however.

The Yoga 2 comes with a handful of Lenovo applications, including Yoga Companion, Yoga Phone Companion and Yoga Chef, which lets you use voice commands to navigate recipes if your hands are covered in food. It also includes a Getting Started Guide and App Showcase, as well as links to Lenovo Support and its own OneKey Recovery System.
