The hp thunderbolt dock 120w g4 offers a great amount of connectivity, and is perfect for businesses and users that need more ports. It also has great power delivery and can charge most notebooks with the built in 100W port.
The G4 is a refresh of the older G2 dock, and it adds a few new ports and some improvements to functionality. Most importantly, it now has a USB-C port on the front that can offer up to 15W of power and support DisplayPort and HDMI connections. It's surrounded by four USB-A ports (two on the sides and two on the back) with speeds up to 5Gbps, as well as an RJ45 Ethernet port for business users and a barrel AC adapter port.
IT managers will appreciate the inclusion of Intel vPro support, which allows authorized administrators to remotely access notebooks using wired connections, even if they are turned off, to make updates. There's also an easy-to-use eTag asset management tool that lets IT track and manage all docks by product name, serial number, and MAC Address.
The dock is compact and looks solid. It's rated at 1.68 pounds and comes in black or silver. On the front of the dock is a USB-C port that can provide up to 15W of charging, while on either side are USB-A ports capable of 5Gbps speeds and a Kensington lock slot. The back houses the two HDMI 2.0 ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port for business users, and a 4.5mm power adapter port.
