How to Use Mirror Link Galaxy S6 With Your Car's Infotainment Display

Mirror Link galaxy s6 is a system that lets you connect your smartphone to your car’s infotainment display. This way, you can access some of your favorite apps on the go while driving safely. It also allows you to control them using the vehicle’s steering wheel controls or touchscreen console. However, the system has some limitations. For example, it can’t support streaming videos or browsing the internet, which is a big no-no for distracted drivers.

Unlike Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which are closed systems that limit the kinds of apps that can be used on them, MirrorLink is open source and has a broad range of car manufacturers and smartphones that support it. Those include DS Automobiles, Citroen, Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Nissan, Peugeot, SMART, SKY, Suzuki, and Volkswagen. On the smartphone side, it works on HTC, LG, Huawei, Samsung, and Sony models.

You can use screen mirroring on your Samsung Galaxy S6 in two ways; either via a wired connection or wirelessly. For the first method, you need to buy a MHL adapter that is compatible with your Galaxy S6 and an HDMI cable that matches it. Once you have those items, follow the steps below:

The second method involves connecting your Galaxy S6 to your TV using Samsung All-Share Cast or a Chromecast. Once you have those devices, turn on your TV and select the All-Share Cast or TV input using the remote’s Source button. Make sure that your Galaxy S6 and the TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
