How to Stop a Porn App From Being Installed on a Computer Or Phone

With so many kids having access to computers, tablets and phones it is no surprise that they get exposed to pornography. The good news is that parents can control what they child sees and does online by using a software program called Qustodio. This tool is specifically designed around parental controls and can help prevent porn apps from being installed on a computer or phone. To use this program, sign in to your account as administrator then go to Manage family settings online then click on the Web browsing tab and select Block inappropriate websites and apps. From there you can add URLs of porn sites to the list and they will be blocked automatically. You can also use this software to control how much time your child spends on gaming, stop gaming addition and filter inappropriate content.

While Cupertino gets flak for its prudeish approach to adult content on the App Store, Microsoft is following suit with a purge of dirty apps from its Windows Phone Marketplace. The change in policy makes sense: if customers search for terms like "sex," "babes" and "bikinis," they're likely to encounter imagery that would give any parent pause.

According to a 28-page document describing new guidelines for the marketplace, apps featuring explicit imagery (including sex/nudity and provocative images), suggestions of prostitution or sexual fetishes, excessive violence, or depictions of the sale or use of drugs or weapons will be rejected. The goal is to make the marketplace more welcoming to all markets and cultures.
