Tile is a Bluetooth tracker that helps you find your keys, wallet or even pets, all from your phone. Each Tile has a button on it that you can press, and in return, your phone will sound an alarm from the app to help you find whatever you're looking for.
Unlike other Bluetooth trackers, Tile claims to have a massive 400 feet of range that covers almost any outdoor area. However, it can be difficult to get that range in the real world, especially if there are obstacles like houses and trees in the way.
The good news is that, even if your Tile tracker loses its connection, you can reset it and make sure it's in working condition again. The first step is to ensure that you're using the correct battery. Tile recommends you use Energizer or Duracell batteries, as using other brands can affect battery life and compatibility.
Once you've switched to the correct battery, the next step is to restart your device and Bluetooth. You can do this by tapping on the quick settings panel on your iPhone and then selecting Bluetooth. You can also restart location services.
If you plan to give or sell your Tile tracker, it's important to factory reset it before handing it off. This will prevent the new owner from reactivating your old Tile and prevent you from getting the "Previously Activated" error message. To factory reset your Tile, go to the Tile app on your phone and select your desired Tile.
