How to Remove Device From Bluetooth

Whether you’re deleting a paired device from your Square Reader for contactless and chip or removing it from your phone’s list of bluetooth connections, the process is simple. In most cases, this is all that’s needed to resolve any Bluetooth issues you may be experiencing. However, as with anything, sometimes it’s necessary to dig a little deeper and do some troubleshooting to make sure the device is really removed from your system.

First, make sure that you have the latest software on your phone. In some instances, a simple update can resolve your bluetooth connection problem.

After that, the most common way to remove an unused bluetooth device from your computer is through Bluetooth settings. However, on occasion this can stop working and the device remains paired to your computer even though it is no longer used.

If this happens, there are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try. Typically, these involve restarting services or updating drivers. If these don’t work, you may need to clear the Bluetooth cache on your Windows device.

This can be done by opening the Control Panel and selecting “View devices and printers”. Once here, you should see a list of all Bluetooth devices saved to your computer. Click on the one you want to unpair and select the Delete device option. Once the device is removed, restart your computer and your KOOV app. This will help to initialize the settings information about the hardware so it can be deleted correctly. If this does not solve the issue, please contact us for further assistance.
