How to Remove a Device From Peacock

NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock has risen in popularity thanks to its intriguing original content and treasure trove of classic shows such as Frasier and Parks and Recreation. But there may come a point when you decide that Peacock no longer captures your interest, or perhaps the subscription charges are starting to feel like a burden on your budget. Whatever the reason, if you're considering cancelling your Peacock account, this guide will teach you how to do it easily on any device, and without incurring additional monthly charges.

Before you do anything, make sure that your internet connection is strong enough to stream Peacock content, and that the app isn't simply acting up due to a software glitch or an outage on your network. You can test your network's speed using a free online tool, and if it's not up to snuff, you might need to upgrade your broadband plan.

Once you've made sure that your internet connection is up to speed, the next step is to restart the app and any devices on which you're having trouble. This can often help flush out bad data or glitchy software, and it's worth a try if you can't get Peacock to work.

Another simple problem-solving step is to try watching Peacock on a different device. This won't always solve the issue, but it can help pinpoint the source of your problem if the app isn't working properly on your primary device. If you're using an Apple TV, for example, try pressing the Back and TV buttons simultaneously until the status light blinks rapidly. If you're using a 1st generation Siri remote, you can hold down the Menu and TV buttons instead.

It's also important to remember that Peacock limits the number of simultaneous streams you can run, and you'll receive a "reached simultaneous streams limit" error if you're running too many simultaneously. You can reduce the number of active streams by shutting down any unused devices, or you can wait up to ten minutes for the system to clear the error.

While Peacock does offer the ability to download certain movies and TV shows, it's important to note that not all content is eligible for this feature, and the downloaded material is only available for 30 days before being removed from your device. In addition, logging out of your Peacock account or uninstalling the app will remove any downloaded content from that device.
