How to Fix a Red Light on Surface Pro and Go

With recent significant updates for Windows 10, the system has a new screen mode called Night Light, which decreases the presence of blue light by replacing it with warmer reddish colors. The feature is great, but if you’re having issues with the display, the first thing you need to do is disable this mode. You can do this by opening the Action Center and clicking on “Night Light”.

Surface Pro and Go are tablet computers built with a docking port that connects to a keyboard and mouse, allowing them to function like laptops. If your docking port is not properly connected or damaged, it may cause the computer to run slowly or freeze frequently. If you’re experiencing one of these problems, there are several ways to fix it.

In addition to the aforementioned ports, the Surface Pro and Go also have a power button that is used for restarting the device. This button is located below the screen and is labeled as “Power”. If you’re having trouble with this button, there could be a problem with the power supply or the cable that connects it to the motherboard.

When you press the power button, a red light will indicate whether or not the computer is powered on. If the red light is close to the BOOT indicator, it means that something is wrong with the boot devices, which would typically be the hard drive. If the red light is near the VGA or DRAM indicators, it means that a memory module is not detected or seated correctly.
