How to Draw a Crown in Six Easy Steps

Crowns are the symbol of royalty and are often covered in glimmering jewels to make them sparkle. This article will teach you how to draw a crown in just six steps. This is a great drawing tutorial for kids and adults of all skill levels. Start your drawing in pencil and then use a black pen or marker to darken the lines. This way if you make a mistake you can easily erase it and try again.

The first step is to draw two circles for the side faces of your crown. These should be located on the left and right sides of the top construction oval. Next, add three curved line for the crown prongs. These should be slightly different from each other and go down to the middle construction oval.

For the last step of your crown illustration, draw two additional curved lines for the back of the crown. These should be shorter and wider than the ones on the front of the crown. Add a few more small spheres/circles for the jewels on your crown and then draw some straight lines inside each one to make them look a bit more realistic.

To finish your crown drawing, color it using a yellow/brown or gold color and then add some red jewels. Add some highlights with a white paint or a blending brush for the parts that would naturally catch light. This will give your crown a more three dimensional look.
