Children love to watch and play baseball games from an early age. Some even wish to become professional baseball players. To enhance their knowledge about the game, you can teach them to draw its different parts. Drawing helps kids to learn new things easily and creatively. Hence, learning how to draw a baseball bat is an excellent way to upgrade their knowledge of the game. This article contains step-by-step instructions to teach kids to draw a baseball bat effectively on a sheet of paper.
Start by drawing a rounded structure to represent the barrel of the bat. Next, draw a tapering region at the end of the barrel to form the knob of the bat. On the other side of the knob, sketch a curve to mark the location of the handle. Add another curve towards the bottom of the bat to give it a stubby appearance.
Then, sketch the outline of the bat using light lines that can be erased if necessary. You can also darken these lines later. Once the outline is drawn, sand each end of the bat with increasing grits until it is smooth. Apply one coat of shellac and two coats of spar varnish to the finished bat.
You can also add more elements to your baseball bat drawing, for example a baseball flying towards the bat. You can draw a unique character or even a celebrity baseball player holding the bat to make it more interesting. You can even color your drawing to make it more alive.
