How to Download Update For Windows XP KB893357

Microsoft Windows XP is an operating system produced by Microsoft. It was released to critical acclaim, noting increased stability and performance (especially compared to the previous release of Windows ME), a more intuitive user interface, expanded multimedia capabilities, improved hardware support, and enhanced security systems. Its unique boot screens that identified the edition of XP that was running, such as green progress bars for Home Edition and blue ones for Professional, Embedded, Tablet PC Edition and Media Center Edition, were removed in Service Pack 2. Windows XP was succeeded by Windows Vista, which added many features that resembled those in XP, and by Windows 7, which incorporated backported components from Vista and new features.

When you use the Automatic Updates setting, Windows automatically detects when your computer is on the Internet and finds updates for your version of Windows that apply to your computer. You are notified and can choose to install the updates when you want to. If you are using this setting, an icon appears in the notification area of the taskbar when downloads are occurring.

You can also choose the Express button to get high priority updates as soon as they are available. This is the recommended option. If you select this option, your computer might restart several times during the process of installing updates. It may take up to 30 minutes to install the Express updates.
