Fallout 2 is the follow up to the original game that takes role playing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic apocalyptic retro-future. Developed by Black Isle Studios (then a division of Interplay Entertainment) and published in 1998 Fallout 2 is the sequel to the game that revolutionized the RPG genre.
Replay Value: With a superbly well designed character creation module and an engaging plot that features tons of surprises the game is full of great replay value. The ability to change the appearance of your character gives a huge amount of customization options that can give you a completely different experience with each playthrough.
Gameplay: The gameplay is intense, brutal and fun. The world of Fallout 2 is vast and incredibly detailed. A wide range of quests can be found throughout the towns and cities. Many of these quests require you to travel between them. This makes the game a long one but is very rewarding. Survival is a serious issue that is approached in an intelligent way that doesn't depend on fantastic, imaginary gimmicks to make the game interesting.
If you have a computer with a high end video card you may encounter a problem where the game will stop responding during combat and will not restart until you exit combat or kill all of your enemies. This is because of a conflict between the game's engine and your video cards hardware. To resolve this issue you can use a simple registry hack.
