Buy a DualShock 4 Starter Kit For $40

If you're a PC gamer who still swears by the DualShock 4 controller, US retailer Best Buy is currently running an interesting deal on the device. The company is selling a DualShock 4 and the USB adapter that's required to interface with PCs for $40 together. The starter kit is intended to be used with Sony's PlayStation Now game streaming service, but will also work with Steam games that support the technology. This bundle was brought to our attention by deals site Slickdeals, and is available for pre-order on Best Buy's website now.

The Nacon Wired Compact is an impressive budget controller that cuts a few features from the DualShock 4, but still comes very close to the bare minimum you'll want from a gaming pad. The built-in speaker, SIXAXIS motion sensor and rumble motors are all present, though the rear L2 and R2 triggers aren't pressure-sensitive compared to the standard setup. It also omits the built-in light bar and has a tinier built-in touchpad.

If you're willing to put in the effort, this is a great way to give your DualShock 4 an upgrade that looks and feels like a genuine licensed product. It's not cheap, but you'll be hard-pressed to find a better looking modification at this price point.
