Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED Review

Asus’s no-compromise laptop is packed with powerful hardware normally reserved for desktop computers, crammed into a compact and portable chassis. The zenbook pro 14 oled has a high resolution, high refresh rate OLED screen and a powerful Intel Core i9 CPU with Nvidia dedicated graphics.

This makes it a suitable do-everything computer for a wide range of users, from design to video editing. Its 14.5-inch 288800 Samsung-manufactured OLED NanoEdge display delivers jaw-dropping detail and vibrant colours, while supporting 133% of the sRGB colour standard for graphics work and 100% of the DCI-P3 colour standard used in professional video-editing applications. The screen also has excellent black and contrast, ensuring that even the darkest scenes appear richly saturated. In our test, the computer-animated world of Spiderverse was beautifully saturated and immersive. The black web lines of Peter Parker’s red suit really popped against the white background.

The keyboard is well-sized and feels reassuringly sturdy, with keystrokes springing back quickly after being pressed. It has full-size island-style keys and is spill-resistant, although it could do with a palm rest. The trackpad is a little small, but it’s responsive and accurate.

The zenbook pro 14 oled doesn’t have any ports on the sides, but there are two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 spec data ports and a Thunderbolt 4 spec port on the left edge. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack and a DC-in port for the supplied 200W charger. Asus has included a USB-C to HDMI 2.1 adapter, which provides an external monitor output with DP alt mode video support.
